We have a Honeywell ST699 timer and one thermostat in the hallway.

The problem being is that you can only set the heating and water to come on and go off once or twice a day. AND the heating and water has to use each others times.

Is there any timer on the market that you can have more on and off times on?

And can you buy one that you can programme the water and heating to come on at different times to each other?

Stupid questions I know!

Any sugestions welcome.

There are programmers available that have more on and off times, Google should be able to help you with that one. Whether you can run your hot water and central heating at separate times depends on the way your plumbing and pipework are installed.

If you have a fairly modern system with motorised valve(s) you probably can, but if you have an old system where the hot water cylinder is heated by gravity circulation from the boiler and just the central heating is pumped, you won't be able to without some plumbing changes.

Oh, and they're not stupid questions either.

sorry, thought you had bought the new one already and it wasn't what you wanted

as stem said, depends on your plumbing - have you got any motorised valves in your system ??
