Hi

I have a Glowworm Energy(7) 30C and tried fitting a Drayton prog thermostat but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything!

The boiler’s manual shows it’s pretty straightforward to connect a battery operated wired thermostat - just connect two wires to the eBus terminals. I’ve done this but the boiler just doesn’t seem to be doing anything different - it still operates to the basic settings I entered for the flow temperature.

The instructions look so easy but for some reason boiler not listening to the control?!

Any ideas?

Ebus is specifically for Vaillant/Glow worm products, you have wired it incorrectly. Which Drayton have you bought? Also you may, depending on the boiler cover, need to carry out critical safety checks afterwards.

Hi

Thanks for the responses. That makes sense. I’ve fitted a few of these over the years and each time I’ve had to remove a little wire/bridge on the boiler. So, I take it I should be using the terminals marked 24V?

Are you a gas engineer or landlord?

Hi

It’s a Drayton Digistat, which can be connected with a battery or mains.

You can use either 24v or mains switching on that model, so either will be fine, just not eBus.
