It looks like a nicely made cabin going on the pictures.
I would say it will be infinately better than a Wickes or B and Q jobbie, but is also more expensive.

Cuprinol or another quality woodstain will be needed, and I would personally apply two coats to the cabin once its built. (let the first dry of course!)

and thereafter a once per year recoat to protect the wood and extend the life of the cabin.

If you want one cheaper you could try http://www.shedstore.com but the price for that one is very good.....
and the waltons one will not be as good quality I dont think
