New mixer tap turning wrong way (anti clock wise)

Hello Humanracer,

The plumber has installed your tap with the centre facing right. You need to undo the nut underneath and rotate the main body of the tap anticlockwise so the centre faces forward. (Turn the lever fully both ways to find the centre and then tighten the nut back up). Then swap the tails underneath if you want hot water on the left and change the hot/cold indicator around on the lever.

It will be easier to turn the tap on in the future rather than lifting the lever near the wall.

Huggybear.

Late reply but just wanted to say thanks for explaining as this is exactly what the problem was. Yes I am a plumbing novice but the actual plumber himself also didn't realise this and had to get his assistant to show him that the center of the tap was orientated wrong!
