Hi,

My cold water tap on our kitched sink hase become more and more stiff over the last 2-3 months. I took it appart today and took it to a local plumbers merchant (that stocks everything under the sun!) and the guy said I needed to ring 'Brev' on 01709 811000 becuase they don't allow them to stock their cartridges.

I phoned this number and the guys said send photos of the tap and part and he'll see what he can do. He said the parts are between £18 - £70 and would let me know how much it'll cost.

Does anyone have any suugestiong how else to fix this tap and/or what gone wrong with it? Can I get the parts somewhere else or online?

Here's photos of it....

Thanks

Could that " local plumbers merchant " be The Plumber`s Mate in Eastbourne :?: One that does indeed stock/know a lot and one of a dying breed too... I can`t offer any better/cheaper way , I`m afraid.

Yeap that's the one! Awesome shop!

I take it you're a local lad then?

Afriad they couldn't help this time though so the solution was to send photos of the tap to the manufacturer and they've just sold me the replacment valves for the hot and cold taps for £30.29.... not too bad I guess!

Cheers
