new patio just laid and its rained since I finished

Good evening all. Laying a patio and as I finished for the day the rain came on and hasnt stopped. The slabs were laid on a semi dry mortar mix. Its not been pointed as im not finished slabbing yet. Its an Indian sandstone and I picked a dryer mix to reduce the chances of staining.

Its been raining since I stopped and im panicing that all the work will get wasted.

will it be ok.

Hope so. The thought of it needing re done isnt worth thinking about

as long as they were properly bedded on a full bed of mortar it will be fine. there should be no voids for the water to go into and it will just flow about the joints and sit in them.

Yeh full bed and well tapped down. I notice the the the mortoe is still a wee bit soft between the slabs and thats was Saturday they were layed. Scottish summers suck for laying slabs lol
