fitted a new triton aquatronic power shower at the weekend, commishioned it and all was working fine, got up sunday morning and when i switched it on the pump was working but no water, unscrewed hose and sucked on hose outlet on shower ,water came straight away.it works fine all day when you do this but when left overnight same problem keeps occuring, any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Is the pump working ? sucking on the hose sounds like to me gravity?

how did u come off the hot water cylinder??
off at 45degrees or so? with a slight loop to avoid air ingress,, if not could be air locking
both hot & cold should be first feeds..

i am no plumber but just had a look in airing cupboard and they are as you say,all i've done is swap shower, pipes were already in place, old shower did'nt do that.

make sure hot and cold incoming to shower r right way rnd as some p. showers differ.
if u r sure the pipework is set out ok(tritons usually work well regardless of pipework) id contact triton as its a new shower.
if any inline filters r fitted then check they're clean

thanks for that, pipes are right way round i'll check filters in morning, could it be possible that air in system may need awhile to be flushed out or would it be alright when shower first used ?

u should always prime the pump( commissiong procedure in manual will say how) but as the pump ran ok b4 without air locking then it must have been primed(expell air), pointing towards an internal fault(warranty)
