Hello all your help is needed as I'm at a loss with my new radiator not warming up properly and going cold.
I fitted a new double radiator and valves in our bedroom as the old one was not heating up at all. The bleed valve was broken on it so I assumed that was why it was not working.
The new radiator i fitted gets really hot at the top and on the inlet pipe where the TRV valve is. The bottom of the radiator gets slightly warm as does the outlet valve but there is a big difference in top and bottom and the inlet and outlet valves. Also after about 2 hours of the heating being on the radiator goes cold altogether and the inlet pipe cools right down. All the other radiators in the house work fine and stay warm whilst the combi boiler is on, it's just the new one in the bedroom that has the problem.
Could there be a blockage in the outlet pipe? It seems strange that the outlet pipe never gets hot and the radiator goes cold after 2 hours. Could this also be why the old radiator did not work despite the bleed valve also being broken on it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly received, cheers.
