I'm just about to add two new rads. Reading the instructions it says to use a cleaner after installation.

I've got a microbore system predominantly 10mm but a few rads in 8mm for some reason. Little bit worried about dislodging something and getting a blockage. Is cleaning necessary? Wondering if there is potentially crap left in the new rads from the manufacturing process.

Also, I happen to have a bottle of Fernox cleaner lying around. Reading the instructions on that it seems to say drain system, then add cleaner, drain again and then refill with inhibitor. Is that right? You leave it in there for a week or so with no inhibitor?

Ta,

Dan

If they are new radiators then the only thing that will be necessary is to add inhibitor to your heating.
