I have installed a new shower today, when I turn it in it is ok but then I turn it off the hot water pipe hammers and makes quite a noise. I can see the pipe jump as it does it.
I have secured the pipes to the wall but it still does it. The pipes rise from the floor and have a single bend in them to enter the cubicle. Should I have used a T-Piece and included an extension piece past the shower mixer to give the pressure somewhere to escape? This isn't going to be easy now as it has been tiled. Is there anything else I can do?
