im tempted to say, leave and call somone in to sort it because you dont know enough, but ill give the benifit of the doubt here,
changing the rcd for an rcbo wont do diddly,
what you need to do is remove the rcd for the sockets(put it on the non rcd side of the consumer unit in your CU) or provide a seperate circuit for the conputers on the non rcd side of your CU- assuming there is one.
your downstairs sockets that you (or anyone else) may use to supply equipment outdoors MUST be on the rcd, computers should not for this very reason.
