I have two damaged Energenie MiHome TRV's they were claimed to work with Nest, they don't, it seems Nest removed support, seems prudent to move one good one from Living room to dining room where the other broken TRV is and get a pair to work the living room together.
As stand alone I know the eQ-3 bluetooth version can work as pairs, but at some time I will need to get rid of the silly Nest Gen 3 and fit a good wall thermostat, my problem is just two wires from wall thermostat to boiler, this works with Nest, the Heat Link is in the flat (was a garage) under the main house powering a relay which in turn powers the boiler and motorised valve, and just two wires to main house, these carry signal from wall thermostat and power the wall thermostat.
As yet not found a replacement able to work with C Plan oil boiler. But if I need to replace the TRV heads, may as well be a make which will allow future expansion, not really worried if Honeywell EvoHome, Drayton Wiser, or any other, it is the two wires which are the limiting factor.
