We are having our old lead water supply pipe replaced with plastic . we recently had a new system boiler installed complete with unvented cylinder . where would the most suitable connection point be for the new supply . would it be best coming virtually straight into the cylinder supply pipe straight onto 22mm copper , as i would think this way it would maintain the best flow rate . at the moment the supply comes in under the sink then goes in a big loop via mostly 15mm cooper before it tees off to feed the cylinder with 22mm .

i would think the best would indeed be to take it straight to the cylinder if possible and have it run as a balanced hot and cold system. you should have a pressure reducing valve for the unvented sylinder already so it maybe an easy job to sort. speak to your installer for advice on your specific install :D
