I have a Newhome Stove gas cooker and this morning when I lifted up the lid it made a funny noise and now there is no gas coming through to any of the 4 rings. The oven and grill are working fine. Would anyone know if this is a big job to fix or will I need a new cooker. I would like to have an idea before I call somebody out to have a look at it. Most grateful Val .

the spring mechanism in the shut off valve has probably fallen apart or seized.
A gassafe engineer should be able to sort in around 1/2 an hour
