Been in a 20 year old house for 3 months now and just today it appears that I'm getting nothing from the central heating.

The programme box (Potterton EP2002) appears fine, both lights on;l
The boiler (Myson Apollo) has pilot light on, and when I switch the hot water on/off, can clearly hear it kicking into life;
Thermostat is wacked up high;
The circulator (Grundfos UPS 15/60 Central Heating Pump Selectric) is spinning fine, have bled it and checked it spins freely .

I believe I'm getting hot water as i get noise from the boiler when I switch it on at the programmer, and the pipes coming out the top are piping hot.

When playing around with the control panel switching the hot water on/off and central heating on/off individually, everytime the central heating goes from off to on, I can hear what I can only describe as a similar noise to a servo from a radio control car for no more than 1-2 seconds as if it is trying to start up something but fails.

I've had a look at glyn113's topic running at the moment"GOT HOT WATER BUT COLD RADIATORS" which sounds a but similar to mine, but I haven't just fitted anything new like he has and I don't think I see my answer in there.

any thoughts greatly appreciated.
