We have a combi boiler. The kitchen tap has been in for about 3 years from when a new kitchen was fitted with no issues. More recently, the kitchen tap (both hot and cold) seems to be spraying more than the nice flow we had before and I assumed this was because we live in a hard water area and probably clogged with limescale. I’ve removed the spout bit and rinsed it in vinegar and limescale remover but it hasn’t really effected the spraying or made it better.
Anyway now (I assume this is linked to the above), the kitchen tap won’t get any hot water. The boiler won’t fire up when the hot tap is on but it will for all other taps in the house. If the hot tap in the bathroom runs, then hot water will flow from the kitchen until it runs out and it turns to cold again as the bathroom tap has been turned off.
Is this likely to be linked with the limescale/spraying tap issue and should I just get a whole new tap? Or could it be a more simple fix?
Thanks in advance.
