dont know if anybody can help me but i get central heating but no hot water.I checked the pin on diverter valve and it pops out when hot water is turned on.So does this mean its the microswitch.

Very unlikely.Are you sure the pin is moving fully out!! Test microswitch with a meter before you buy one.

what does the themistor do
Measur temperature of water & tell pcb what it is so pcb can tell fan to run etc
