Hi
I moved into an old farmhouse about a month ago. The central heating is fine (but heavy on oil), but doesn't heat the water very well, so I've been having to use the immersion heater or electric shower.
I've had a look at some of the other posts about this topic, but they all seem to refer to heating that was fine, then stopped heating the water. I don't know when this system last heated the water
I've had a look at the cylinder, but couldn't find any kind of thermostat - unless they're sometimes not obvious. Surely, even an ancient system should have some kind of thermostat on the tank, but maybe I just don't know exactly what I'm looking for.
All help would be appreciated.
Samantha
