So, I've encountered another issue. I re-wired the element in, all went ok. However, as the immersion came on I noticed a smell and a little smoke coming from the cover. I removed it and there was smoke coming from the neutral wire and it was glowing a bit orange! I have attached some pictures which hopefully show this, is there any reason why this may have happened? It appears to have melted some of the wire cover. Any suggestions would be great. I have isolated the power at present.

Cheers
