Noise from CH Boiler

Hi,

I get an intermittant, loud and rather alarming noise from my Mynute 28se gas boiler. It powers HW & CH with a mid position divertor valve and integral pump.

It starts as a rumble and becomes more of a screech. It lasts three or four seconds and the pressure guage goes up by about half a bar, then drops back to normal. It might occur four or five times over a day or two, then everything is fine for a month or two.

Any ideas?

fitted a few mynutes in the past and have had to fit new heat exchangers due to blockages in them.my first guess.

Sounds like it starts to boil and the pressure shifts some crap, creating an opening.

Is there any way to test for a blockage, or to flush the heat exchanger?

Either just flush it, or get a pro to sort the problem out.
