NOISY SHOWER PUMP

Just bought a house with a showerforce "turbo 2" pump in the bathroom which can be heard a mile away when in use. Never had a shower pump before so not sure that this noise is normal.

I think that this is an old pump and was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions for something quieter and presumably more modern?
 
Its the newer model of the worst on the market i'd say. £100 B&Q special. Its probably 1 to 1.5 bar best option is to have it changed to a STUART TURNER 2 bar MONSOON . £250 + fitting approx but the dogs & as quiet as u'll get.
