Normal system pressure/temp?

When I was bleeding the radiators, the one which traps most of the air had steam coming out, not air and you can't touch the rads & pipes they are so hot. I also noticed the grey foam pipe insulation stuff in the utility room has melted where the pipes come in from the outside (Firebird 2.2 oil fired combi boiler in external cabinet).

Is this normal? System pressure cold 1 bar, 2 bars when hot.
 
Erm .. I wouldn't say so. Rads really don't need to be more than 70Deg. Is the boiler turned right up and when was it last serviced? I'm not an oil guru tho but I'm sure there will be one along soon @oilhead ;)
