Not Enough Pressure For Shower...?

The pressure in the property is slack and to add insult to injury i've just had plumbed in a shower mixer and riser that i suspect is very small bore and suitable for combination boilers and much higher pressures.

The pressure through the shower head is not much better than a trickle so its about to be taken back out. Does anyone know if a larger bore shower mixer would make a difference? Where can I get one?

Can anyone point me in the direction of any other solution to this problem? Apart from fitting an electric shower.

Cheers

If its high pressure you need, why don't you just install a pump to your exsisting shower valve instead of getting a new shower?
