Firstly, I can't read the Independent even if I wanted to unless I pay for it or allow them to load cookies onto my device, I wish to do neither. Secondly, I have watched in real time how this paper has gone down the pan and no longer use it as a reliable source of info. I used to trust it.

Thirdly, the AP article isn't saying anything different to what I have read elsewhere apart from the 'live musical event to promote the U.S. and Irish shared values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility' which is still DEI and the executive order says blanket shutdown of DEI.

Lastly, why should the US taxpayer be paying for bulk news subscriptions for US government staff?

If they put their own citizens first, I don't care if they are Republican, Democrat or Other. Thank you for summing up in a few short sentences, what I've been trying to say for pages. Difficult to make yourself heard in a pile on though to be fair.
