I think the answer lies in the other billing code "Active Social Engineering Defense". This funding would not be for implementing Large Scale Social Deception. It would be funding to defend against Large Scale Social Deception. Presumably this was all part of an effort to help defend in some way against Russian state troll factories etc. attacking the US. This stuff from Musk is sad, lame and transparent. Although there has always been a question as to whether "patriots" like Trump and Musk actually want to stop foreign powers undertaking social engineering and social deception against the USA.

I am not going to draw a conclusion either way until more facts come to light but I am curious, it's very Cold War type tactics if what you say turns out to be true.

It didn't come from Elon Musk originally.

I am thinking it is about funding to hire IT security experts etc. to defend their systems. Rather than to publish articles for the government. Funding for that sort of thing would come through the CIA etc. and would never be revealed.

As a test, put in 'BBC Far Right' into Google Search and see the results.

Now do the same for 'BBC Far Left'.

I have just done this and the results are stark.

There are nutters and extremists on both sides but the BBC does not appear to hold a neutral position.

Do you have any idea how flawed that process is? Don't answer that ,I know you don't.

I'm still curious what you think Soros has done to bring carnage to society globally. I suspect you havent got a clue as you're just repeating something you heard somewhere in the worse corners of the internet and will need to do a lot of Googling to try to find some tenuous bullshit retroactively.
 
Alternatively, one can use the search function within the BBC site itself using both 'far left' and 'far right' key words.

I take very little of what the BBC say these days as gospel due to bias.

What I expect from our national broadcaster is neutrality. The papers can take positions on either side.

What would "far left" be in the UK. There isn't really a far left movement as far as I can see. Maybe Corbynites would have been classed as far left.
