I have purchased some oak veneer doors from B&Q and would like to know the best product to finish them with..

I've had a quick look on the new and osmo polyx looks to be popular..

Also would a matt or satin finish look better?

Thanks

I can highly recommend the Osmo Polyx - great finish and easy to work with. Shop around a bit because the price varies, and don't buy too big a tin as you'll probably use less than you think.

Put it on thin. Make sure to rub it down (gently - don't know how thin that veneer might be!!) with 240g sandpaper after the first coat to take the nibs off. Then another coat or two and you'll have a great finish.

Matt or Satin is down to your taste, personally I like the Matt - the Satin still looks a bit shiny to me.
