Tesco opening a store doesn't put anyone out of business.

People going there in preference to other shops is what does it.
Small shops are going out of business because the big stores use their greater buying power to sell goods cheaper than the corner shops.

Tescos are opening more and more convenience stores, where i live there was a corner shop for years, i and others used the shop because it was convenient, the goods on sale were dearer than you would get at the supermarket but that did not matter because people would only buy a few items. 2 years ago tescos opened a small convenience store across the street, it had a bigger range of goods and was also cheaper that the corner shop, so i and others started using Tescos, the corner shop closed down 3 months later.

People get fat because they eat to much, if they eat less they would put on less weight, people who say "oh i only have to look at food and i put on weight, it's my glands you see" are deceiving them selves. People who put on lots of weight without eating lots of food are defying the laws of physics, you can't make something out of nothing.
