Can't believe I am answering this but here goes....
My take on that song is as follows.
In American films when there is an addition to the sky's that "is not American military type" then they send in the 'planes' a bit like
"we come in peace = shoot to kill" if it's not controlled by the American Military then it needs to be either destroyed or captured because we all know that there is only one real controller and saviour of the world and universe and that is the Good Ol USA

Just my look on things in a light hearted way

Never realised it was sung by a she.

Mind you, for years I thought that the Boon theme 'Hi Ho Silver' was sung by a bird. Then found out it's really Jim Diamond.
