Looking for a new boiler , system 12kw or 15 kw. the 3 that I was considering I have (probably) struck them off my list.

I don't want Vaillant (bad customer service grounds), WB gets a hard time on this forum and Intergas, unsure as not mainstream, also I don't think that they do a boiler under 18Kw. So what about Baxi, Ideal or wiesmann or anything else. I would like something that doesn't need any (much) attention unlike the other half.:D

Mainstream doesn't necessarily equal good, as you've already demonstrated yourself...

I havent seen one for many years but seem to remember them being heat only boilers not system boilers, is your pump inside the boiler casing or outside it ?

Hi Ian
You are correct, heat only boiler , pump outside, only reason for changing to system, I live in a flat and there is no head of water.re expansion tank

I would fit the Vokera Mynute VHE great and very simple boiler, not at all expensive either, it is an open vent heat only boiler so you could keep current configuration, can be converted to sealed system easily enough,if you want a system boiler the easi heat plus is also a decent boiler, no matter which boiler you choose make sure you clean your system water and fit a magnetic filter as the existing boiler is a cast iron heat exchanger and the system water will be full of magnetite .

Thanks for the info Dilalio and thanks Ian , will take at look at Vokera, 30 years ago I had a 20/80 combi Vokera (in a different flat) and looking back I suppose it was ok.

that's a good price gordongas but being part of Vaillant I am not too interested re customer service

Think of the warranty as well as the product... Long warranty tells you something ;)
