Concrete pad with brick edge up to a damp proof course/membrane. I can't complete now, so I'm using the pad for outdoor games, etc. There's about 12-15 inches of membrane sticking out - is it ok to trim so that - when bricklaying continues - there is enough to cover the brick surface, plus an inch?

Yes as long as there’s enough to lap wherever the dpc will be on all sides
