Hi

I have stripped down the machine ready to change the bearings however I have got to a sticking point. I changed the bearings about 6 years ago and can't remember having the same difficulty!

I have taken the front cover of the outer tub off and rear pulley removed. This just leaves the drum to pull out but for the life of me I cannot get the drum out! I've bashed the end repeatedly with a rubber mallet and it just won't budge. It is possible that the drum shaft has corroded onto the bearings? I'm sure last time I got to this stage the drum just pulled out, but my memory is a bit foggy.

Any suggestions on removing the drum?

Thanks.

Its possible , when I changed mine I had to put a piece of wood over the end of the shaft and beat the crap out of it with a lump hammer , that separated it!
