My very old boiler runs fine but the boiler thermostat doesn't seem to be working at all. Makes no difference what the setting is, so it's now on '1'. The overheat thermostat must be why it's working OK ?
I can't get a spare part ( not that I was thinking of fitting it myself) from anywhere I've searched.
I'm about to get someone in to fit a new boiler but thought first I'd ask if anyone knows where to get such spares.
Is it still entirely safe running on an overload thermostat ? What if that goes ?
expert opinions really welcome

The boiler thermostat for this model is certainly still available.

You'll need an RGI to fit it.
