Hiya ive read a few of the locals here have worked for the council can you help please or any electricians who have worked in this type of house.

I have a poured concrete home 1950 i think.

I have to re thread a cooker wire, there is a metal pipe placed in the wall it has a metal circular access hole in the kicthen.

The pipe does not come up to the loft, i can only think it is accessible under the bath room floor, some how?

Can any electricians here advice the chances of it being accessible from there before I pull my bathroom floor apart :( and if it is there is is it still with in standards to be used.

I have read about insulating hot pipes if this is also applicable i will insure its done.

many thanks
OJ

just an update incase any one else has this problem

I managed to locate an electrician living in the same type of house and the pipe should  come up into the bathroom with no extensions to another place.

have been advised to remove the floorboard one away from the skirting, should be fun my toilets sat on it  . Why can't things be easy

thanks OJ
