Good evening all

I have a problem with my Ravenheat 820/20 combi boiler. It's the old type with permanent pilot light burning through the small inspection hole on the front.

The central heating is working ok and all radiators are getting hot, however the hot water is only coming out barely warm from the tap and is cold most of the time. It does not matter if the heating is on or not, the water is still not hot. The boiler fires up as normal when the hot water tap is turned on but the water is still not hot, even if you leave it running? The thermostat dial on the front is turned up to full temp.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Is it worth fixing or should i get a new boiler?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Does the CH flow pipe from the boiler get hot when you have the hot tap running. If so your diverter valve is passing.

Easily repairable, however i would not spend 1p on that boiler.

A new boiler would be my recommendation.

Ok with the boiler cold try running hot water and see if heating flow pie starts to get warm, if it does its a new diverter valve you need.
