It's a wooden framed skylight, and is leaking badly. Every time it rains water will drip down.

I think it's worth eventually repacing the whole thing - but for the moment I just want to seal it.

My plan all done internally, can't get to the outside.
- scrape off old flaky paint
- using caulk put it in all corners of the window skylight
- repaint.

What do you think?

ross - is it leaking around the outside of the frame or the glass inside the frame. If it's around the frame then it sounds like the flashing is knackered. Does the skylight hinge open (many do but are jammed shut and need easing)? If you can get it open then a flashing repair can be attempted from inside.
