This old window just about closes but will not close the last 1cm or so, meaning rain comes in during a rain storm.
It hasn't "clunked" closed, as they do when they are working properly, for a long time, but this is the first time that water has come in.
The old closing mechanism was replaced by an electric closer a long time ago and it worked for years after this change over to the electric auto closer.
Looking from the roof I see it has gotten pretty damp so am going to keep it open a bit with a siliconed tarp over it to keep the water off it so it can dry out and shrink back to unswolen size.
There is nothing obvious stopping it closing.
Anyone ideas about anything obvious stopping it closing, perhaps something mechanical?
