One for the remainiacs....

Remainiacs: people obsessed with staying in the EU.
Maniacs: Brexiteers.
It would have been better like this
Remainiacs : people obsessed with staying in the EU
Mainiacs : people obsessed with leaving the EU....
But Brexiteers ......
Personally I'd have put
Remainiacs : Idiots who like serfdom and to be vassals
Leavers: freedom lovers

Seems that the medical profession are concerned about all the Remainiacs that are seeking help with mental health issues.

It's too easy to be drawn into smart remarks in these online debates- mea culpa But here's the thing...

When I'm asked to explain why I voted remain (having been a 60/40 in/out decider), I say things like;

Risk aversion: I hate the institution, but the alternative might be worse.
Jobs: Nissan, TATA, Toyota and the other big employers might pull out and devastate already poor areas.
The UK- I am in favour.
Immigration: leaving won't fix it, 'cos the deal won't allow it.
The cost: we will end up with a very similar deal than now, except it will be more expensive- no rebate.
The benefits- my area is poor, and has benefitted hugely.

When I ask leavers (or see them on tv), they without exception say things like;

We get our country back.
Control our borders.
More money for the NHS
No unelected faceless bureaucrats running our country.

In no case, even Farage, has anyone given a second sentence after these sound bytes. They say,

"We get our country back."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, we control our own borders!"
"In what way will we do that now that we already don't?"
"By taking control."
"Of what. EXACTLY"
"Our borders!"

Anyone want to explain why I'm not getting it?

Is it the country where the PM and cabinet are predominantly millionaire Old Etonians?

Funny how you reduce any criticism of the Brussels elite to 'evil alien goblins' mentality, but you don't pass the same judgement against criticism of the British establishment.

Oh. I think we do. I do anyway. Confiscate their (our) land and ship them all back to Normandy.

That is the part of the argument discounted by the leavers - assuming our establishment is not EAGs, and only have our well-being at heart.

(350 million or now) 100 million to the NHS - or sell it off along with the rest of the utilities we used to own.
Run down by crap management, sold of cheap to save money, now all make a fortune.
Leaving 100 million to share out among friends.
