I purchased a flat in October with an Opal Triton electric shower which worked ok (a little tempremental) up until a few weeks ago.

Now however, there is no hot water coming out at all, although the power light is on and there is more than a little cold water.

Is the element gone? Will it be cheaper to relace than repair?

The bath takes an age to fill up as well which doesn't help.

Appreciate any advice

A known fault on these units is the microswitch on the PCB.

High pressure on the water can cause the switch to miss-align due to the 'whacks' during on/off.

Open the case, and gently pull the microswitch back down so it is 90 degrees to the PCB. Do not go further that that or the units safety cutout on low pressure will not function.

switch is found at the bottom center of the PCB, and the switch is operated by a white lever on the inlet.

Make sure you turn the lecky off first.

A blown element usually results in low temp as there are two elements, one turned on for low temp and two turned on for high temp.
