Main part of my kitchen is going to run along a 5m wall in my kitchen (party wall). The water source coming from the outside is on the right end of the units. It is an ikea kitchen so services will run under the kickboards. My sink is in the centre of the wall. At the moment things are planned so that the run of units from the wall where the pipework enters is Freezer, Fridge (tall units) small cupboard (plan to house Quooker 7litre tank here), then dishwasher then there will be the sink with undercupboard. One plumber has said to me that the dishwasher should be on the far side of the sink .... farthest away from the pipework? Is this better? Ultimately does not matter to me..... in its existing position as it is slightly closer to where I plan to put a table.... If I move the dishwasher site then the quooker tank I can either move it to a small unit on the far side of the new dishwasher location or leave it where it is? Advice/Thoughts pls?

You start, by deciding where you want them/where works best for you. Then you compromise on the layout, depending upon what is practical, and possible.

Sometimes the waste exit and fall to the outside drains may make one location preferable, especially if the 'services' are at very low level as here? Just to get an acceptable fall.

or one has to run such pipework inside the cabinets with loss of space, joins holes etc.,.

Or create a rear services void via stand-offs and deeper worktops.
