As part of planning for moving the kitchen in our new home there is going to be a requirement for a waste pipe from the kitchen sink and dishwasher to go further than the limit in the Part H of building regs without a vent (3 or 4m for 40 or 50mm pipe).

Excuse the sketch. Top section is the plan, bottom the elevation.

The blue is the "necessary" pipework as far as I can work out.

The red is a possible solution of a small secondary stack with a AAV (the red bit would be boxed in.

So do I need the red pipework or can I get away with an anti siphon (vented) trap on the sink?

If it's on or around the 5m mark and not a lot more then you'll probably get away with an anti vac sink trap and have the waste pipe @ 50mm, use a 40mm appliance stand pipe for the DW if you have the space. Just watch the fall on the pipe run and make sure it's well supported.

Cheers - Measuring off my current plans it 5.05m in a straight line, but those are not finalised yet. so will watch it.

Having spent a fun afternoon reading the Part H regulations it stated that extra ventilation was required, but then did not make it clear (at least to me) if an vent on the sink trap was sufficient.
