Hi I would like to run outside 240v lighting in my back garden (or maybe low V).

Could I feed off my bedroom socket to an IP.. outside socket and put an RCD on this, feeding the lighting through this.

Or, do I need to run a seperate feed back to my CU...?

Thanks

put a RCD fused spur unit inside feeding the outside socket. if you already have an RCD protecting the ring main then you can use a fused spur. plug the outside lighting into the socket. this way, youll also avoid part P, since its not wired directly to the mains
