overflow

ive had a new dual flush cistern fitted and it was okay at first, doesnt use as much water and very quick to fill. the last couple of days however when flushed it fills and then keeps overflowing into the pan. does anyone know how to fix this as its driving me crazy as i have to keep going back to flush the loo til it stops

it sounds like the flloat valve is not shutting fully.
