padlocks for metal shed?

I have seen a shed with a very tough padlock. It didn't prevent the thieves from levering up the side of the shed and squeezing in underneath the wall.
its not a small shed, could fit a car inside. i would say this shed is secure enough for me to be happy, my only worry is the doors and the £8 padlock on it for now.
