I have a exterior car port with a white matt emulsion ceiling which needs repainting. But what paint do I use? The ceiling is outside so is subject to hot and cold weather extremes and airbourne moisture, such as mist or fog, but it does not get direct rainfall on it.

Will a standard interior emulsion do the job or do I need something more robust? Could I use smooth masonary paint even though it is not being painted on to masonary?

Thanks,

I'd go for your masonry paint....although it doesn't protect wood particularly well it should be fine for your application.

Good question, it looks like a type of exterior plasterboard but difficult to tell as it's already painted - it may be plywood though!!
