--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a house that is 2 years old. we just repainted because of not liking the color.

We have found out that the new paint will not stick to the old paint on the trim boards. the new paint (which is the same brand and make as the original paint) sticks fine to the siding and the porch's real wood ballisters.
The paint will not stick to the trim. I tried 6 different paints, cleaned the trim with water, water and simple green, paint thinner, and mineral spirits
each time only 1 of the paints stick xim 400.

any suggestions?
the paint is a latex paint by kwall (ambasidor)
I have had 2 painters say it is the trim wood.
Kwall says it the trim wood
the wood rep said it not his wood and it prep or weather or something but his wood.

Hi,

What type of paint is it ? Because you need a WATER based paint to Sstick on the MDF, strip or sand the old paint to bare wood and apply a wood primer first, than 2 coats of undercoat to match your colour, and 2-3 coats of final top coat ! This is how I do it and is working !
If is wheather proof MDF It should be all right !
