Hello, id be so grateful for any advice - I have painted lots of successful woodwork in my time, but having a nightmare with my kitchen panelling. I’ve used little Greene intelligent eggshell for the first time, but used a normal water based primer, the paint is thick and just pulling itself off again when applied. I’m wondering if it’s because you absolutely have to use the intelligent eggshell primer with it? Or is it a faulty batch? My primer is water based and it does say use intelligent primer but didn’t say you absolutely have to or it’ll be a total disaster! Now I have to take all the paint off, I have put on two layers after sanding back the dried drips, but areas are just peeling off easily, what is the best way of removing it? Anyone know why this has happened? Help! Many thanks

Kitchens are prone to greasy dirt. How did you clean, and sand, the surfaces?

Is that varnish you're painting onto?

Hi, I sanded lightly. Painting onto water based primer. I have since had an email from Little Greene, it appears it was a faulty batch of paint and they are sending me a replacement and refund, very inconvenient! Thank you for your help
