I am painting a new shed, and want to use an oil based exterior eggshell to finish.
I have put one coat of oil based primer on, but have not used any knotting solution. Will the knots come through if I use another layer of oil based primer and then oil based eggshell?
If the knots would come through, what should I do with the current oil based primer already on the wood?
I have seen a Ronseal knot block primer, but it is water based. I can't find an oil based knot blocking primer available in the UK, is there one? I assume I need an oil based primer before oil based undercoat/eggshell finish.
Finally, would two layers of primer be enough before the eggshell, or is it necessary to also use a layer of undercoat before the eggshell?
