Mistakingly picked up the tin of acrylic eggshell instead of the acrylic primer and undercoat
I'm supposed to be priming and undercoating old oil based gloss work on door frames.
Once the eggshell's dry, can I just use the primer/ undercoat on top of it, and then the eggshell, or do I need to sand it all back ( again)?

Is it diamond eggshell?
A quick sand down will be fine. Just put the primer on top.

Thanks. It's Leyland trade acrylic eggshell. Suitable for wood and plaster.

Yeah it will be fine. I asked about the diamond as that has a greater bonding to it, helping it stick to the gloss.
