Painting coving

Hello

Whats the best way to paint coving so you don't get paint on the walls or ceiling?

Are you not doing the whole room?
If you are doing the whole room, I paint from top down, to keep it simple coving the same colour as ceiling.

Well the room is painted, white ceiling white walls but with the chimney breast a dark chocolate colour. I just wondered if having the coving same colour as the chimney breast would look nicer? True though, keeping it the same was easier to paint!

I think if you make the coving dark, it will have the effect of lower the ceiling, ok if you have a high ceiling.

Don`t do it I`ve inherited a house like that- it aint artistic

Paint the coving before you fix it to the wall/ceiling if its new coving.
