Hi
Can anyone recommend a paint for painting below the dpc?
Do people just use a bitumen paint or are there other alternatives?
Kind regards
Nat

Why do you want/need to??

maybe my terminology needs little attention, what I'm mean is I want to paint the brickwork below the bell bead at the bottom of my rendering to try and keep the colour the same all the way round the house. I have three types and colours of brick at various points around the building(original house< an old extension and a newer extension) and would like them to blend in with each other more. As my house is built on a hill there is more brickwork exposed below the rendering in some places than others, so in places the paint would go be;low the dpc. hope this explains things a little better

kind regards
nat

Not sure that it is a good idea but I would suggest posting in the BUILDING forum for the best answer.

AFAIK, it is not advisable to paint brickwork at all (above or below the dpc) but the experts in the BUILDING forum will advise you better.

Sorry I can't help further.
